EXPERIENCE

Research Assistant
for Dr. Haizhen Mou, School of Public Policy, University of Saskatchewan
December 2023 – Present

Studying the impact of universal childcare in Quebec on immigrant women’s labour. Research is conducted primarily in a Statistics Canada Research Data Centre, and involves data extraction and analysis primarily using Stata. Data analysis uses cross-sectional time series and panel data, propensity score matching, and difference-in-difference.

The lab focuses on improving low-income and marginalized people’s access to public services. I contributed to survey and field experiment design and execution, including survey programming, data pre-analysis and project management. I also conducted rapid literature reviews, including on take-up of integration services among newcomers to Canada.
